Seems to be one of most under-rated towns in Ireland ? Has got everything - shops, pubs, restaurants, historical buildings, etc. Was told not to go there before I left for a short trip around Ireland, but it ended up being one of the highlights of...

The people, the culture, the history, the heritage, music (probably the most vibrant music scene in Ireland for the last 20 years or so), sport (DFC: League of Ireland champions and the thinking-man's club). Poetry, nightlife and landscape.

Just moved back after being away for 20 years - a lot of changes, all for the better - the town is not perfect, but as Irish towns go it is still one of the best.

The town has a bad name due to the troubles, but having spent 4 days there I think this is unjustified - good crac, lots of places to go and much to see

A lot better than expected ! - spent one day there recently - good infrastructure, shops, restaurants and many interesting historical sites.

Not bad at all - don't know what all the negatively is about ? Complete Irish town with normal issues, but huge potential ! What is really needs is a large shopping center consolidating all the other bitsy shopping areas - Ramparts, Shopping Outlets ...

What is really needs is a large shopping center consolidating all the other bitsy shopping areas - Ramparts, Shopping Outlets on the coes road, Marshes, various Dunnes Stores, etc - if they could only bring all this together close to the center the town would have a major shopping draw.
