Dingle is amazing. Everyone I have ever brought there has been enchanted by its natural beauty and ambiance. Dingle has a magical quality and a friendly local dolphin called Fungi (with his own special charm). A wonderful place to live - whether on a full time basis or as a holiday home. I live close by - and know the town for approx 15 years.

Dingle is a great town to live in, it's small but there's always something on in comparison to other towns of a similar size. It also has a cinema which is unusual in a small town. It's very pretty, has great walks and beaches in the surrounding area...

Dingle is a great town to live in, it's small but there's always something on in comparison to other towns of a similar size. It also has a cinema which is unusual in a small town. It's very pretty, has great walks and beaches in the surrounding area. Restaurants are good but overpriced for the most part. You can get good coffee though. The pubs are excellent as well, of course. The winter season is quiet and the summer busy which makes for a nice contrast when you live here full time. The rent here is half the price of Dublin but as far as I know house prices are high - at least they were very high and no-one seems to know how much they've fallen. A supermarket shop is probably average. You can get good local food in groceries and butchers in the town. I used to live in Dublin and spend much much more money there but of course I'm not doing all those lovely, if expensive, city things anymore like meeting friends for lattes and glasses of wine and going here and there. But as a returned local, the best thing about the Dingle area is the culture - the Gaeltacht area which is mostly 'back west'. Once I get a fix of Dublin life every now and again, living in Dingle is very good.
